What a fun shoot! My first time getting behind the camera since moving to Minneapolis, Minnesota! Kyah is Amy Lynn’s assistant, who owns Purpera Style Photography in Stillwater and Amy was my amazing assistant for the day holding my reflector and helping me not forget stuff. We started in downtown
Stillwater, and wow, this is seriously the cutest little downtown I have ever seen! I wanted to photograph a cute Minnesota look, flannel, vest, leggings, and boots so glad Kyah put this together!
But my favorite outfit for sure was Kyah’s greed little dress with Amy Lynn’s beautiful fur coat! The photos on the bridge with the wind blowing her hair make me swoon! Then we went to the Boom site a few miles up the road for a more casual look, and Kyah even brought her boyfriends sweater to take pictures in, just the cutest!
I love the mix of the rustic old town feel of Stillwater combined with the editorial style and posing, one thing I want to do more of is practice this more. I also made a video of the shoot which can be found on my youtube or vimeo.
