I am a high school senior photographer in Huntington beach, and I love doing themed senior photoshoots. This was such a fantastic day, four different senior themed sessions at Loew’s at Coronado Island for Seniors Ignite Event for themed senior photoshoots. There were other themed sessions but these are the ones that I really saw my style in. There were over 200 photographers photographing these amazing seniors and getting the perfect image was quite the difficult feat with so many other photographers also trying to get the shot.
The fairy themed shoot had a tule skirt that was created within minutes, a jeweled corset with tule wrapped around it to keep it tight because she was so tiny, professional hair and makeup, and this amazing feather and flower crown.
The next shoot was a goddess themed with amazing natural boho dresses, perfect gold jewelry accessories, and natural flower crowns, and professional hair and makeup. These two girls really look like they are goddesses from the islands in this beautiful greet tropical scenery.
The 70’s themed shoot was perfect with vintage bell bottom jeans, and a tassel top shirt, rocking the glass coca-cola bottle, and afro. I think Marissa just stepped right out of the History book from the 70’s. The planning that goes into themed sessions is so amazing and detailed and every aspect has to be thought of and it clearly was in these photoshoots.
The last themed photoshoot was classic couture, This amazing pleated dress was created right onto this senior in a matter of ten minutes, shows you really don’t need to have the most expensive pieces to make it look amazing. Armed with a basting gun this dress was created out of one sheet of grey felt and created around here. The Leather palmless gloves were purchased off of ebay and the best classic touch, and costume jewelry and hair and makeup pulled everything together.
