Every year senior style guide puts on a contest for the top 100 senior photographers in the nation, and every year it gets bigger and bigger and more amazing photographers are submitting work. last year there were about 6,000 images submitted and this year 8,300 images were submitted which is super crazy and the amount of amazing work that submitted is nuts. I have no clue how the three judges narrow down all of the work just because of so many amazing photographer submitting. So winning a spot in this contest is such a huge deal in the senior industry and I am so thankful and surprised that I was picked.
This was a senior session of mine with Katelene and it was my first studio session image which also blows my mind. I just got my new light, and my new Beauty Dish and I decided we should go down into my basement that's totally unfinished and take a few pictures so I could practice and I loved how they all turned out. After about 10 minutes of pictures in the basement we went out and did Katelene’s full senior session, we went to downtown Osseo which is one of my favorite little downtown because it's so cute. Then we went to Coon Rapids Dam for a more natural river look which I'm in love with. Katelene’s dad was actually helping me with the shoot being super amazing holding my reflector and having a fun time just seeing his daughter doing the pictures. He was so awesome asking all these questions about the photography and the session.
I love how all of the images turned out and so did Katelene and her family she got my biggest package so she gets all of them printed and digital, and she's getting a custom Senior Magazine which is one of my favorite products to offer.
